Fire Throat

Let me start off by saying I love being pregnant despite all of the side effects that can come with pregnancy. My least favorite side effect so far and the one that has plagued me the most during this pregnancy has been heartburn. At first it wasnt so bad. I would just occasionally not be able to sleep because of it, but now I have to take one tablet of tums every night before bed and sometimes during the day. I was naive enough to have thought that since I was 18 I wouldnt experience heartburn during pregnancy. Now I know, you are never to young to experience any medical problems, no matter how big or small.

Balloon Feet

It is 11:30 at night and my feet look as though I am having an allergic reaction to some type of sting or bite. They are so swollen that when I stand up my toes cant even touch the ground. It seems like with every passing night the swelling gets worse. I've tried everything I can to keep the swelling down, including drinking as many glasses of water a day that I'm supposed to. Hopefully my baby girl comes soon so that waymy balloon feet will disappear.

Belly and Balance

I swear if I get any bigger Im going to end up falling flat on my tummy or my bum. Every day I trip at least once now. Today I didnt see a hole in the sidewalk thanks to my baby belly being in the way and if it werent for being quick on my feet I would have fallen and most likely gone into labor. I've always been a clumsy person, but pregnancy has made my normal "clumsiness" outright dangerous. Just 3 more weeks and then I can work on getting my center of gravity back to where it belongs.

Purely Exhausted

It seems like every day I have even less energy than the day before. I've been spending more time sitting on the ouch or sleeping than doing anything else. The crazier part is, no matter how much I rest or how much sleep I get, I still feel purely exhausted. I wouldnt mind this lack of energy normally, but I'm going to have a baby girl in just three weeks and two days. I know I wont have a lot of time for myself or even with my significant other, so I want to have as much energy as possible to be able to spend with him, my family, and my friends. Hopefully this is just a short phase that will pass, so that I can get my wish and enjoy my last few weeks before becoming a full-time mother.

Keeping Busy

3 Weeks and 3 days left until baby Loralai's due date and I am just ready. Ive been spending my days on maternity leave setting up all of her baby stuff/toys and also working on an ebay project for a family friend. If it werent for housework, friends, family, this project, and all these mini baby projects Ive been coming up with, I swear I would lose my mind from not knowing what to do with my time.
Though I must admit having my maternity leave couldnt have come at a better time. Thanks to not having to work, I dont have to be out in this unbearable heat. Luckily I have gotten to escape the heat by a dip in the pool on fourth of july and also a swim in the lazy river and the wave pool at Waterworld.

Maternity leave at last

I have finally reached the day Ive been waiting for; I'm in my last 4 weeks of pregnancy. With my baby girl trying to come early and putting me into pre-term labor a couple weeks ago, I feel as though I deserve this break from work. No more being on my feet for hours at a time every single day. However, my feet are still swollen all the time of course. The only downside now is finding what to do with all this free time that I have now aquired.

Counting down the Days

Working in a fast food restaurant is bad enough during a normal summer rush, but add 40 pounds on due to pregnancy and it gets a whole lot worse. The heat that gets trapped in the restaurant makes you feel like you are working in a desert. I swear I've never taken so many water breaks in my life. The constant moving around also makes you tired twice as fast as normal. Thank goodness my maternity leave starts next month. Just counting down the days until I can swim for six hours instead of work in an overheated fast food joint.
